About Heirborn
Promise...
They have been referred to as "a unique and refreshing blend
of music and ministry." Heirborn Promise represents the
combined talent of three
individuals who are singers, songwriters, and musicians, as well as clear,
relevant communicators of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are
known for delivering their music and message with a sincerity and
sensitivity that prompts you to "listen with your heart." Featuring the husband and wife
team of Brett and Darlene Scott and friend Kevin Shreve, their experience spans
over three decades of
ministry in music and evangelism. Their musical abilities,
commitment to ministry, and unquestionable professionalism have
given them a "platform" to proclaim their faith in all
venues and denominations.
Their
purpose...
"For we preach not
ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;
and ourselves your
servants for Jesus' sake."
II Cor. 4:5
Drawn together by their salvation, friendship, and shared vision
of evangelism and edification through the medium of Christian music,
their purpose is to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Their message...
They believe that knowing (receiving) Jesus is more than an
"experience." It is a sincere decision, and a
personal and every-day relationship with the One who created
you. God could not stand to be separated from us, so He
created a "bridge of salvation" so that we could have
fellowship with Him. This "bridge" was made possible
by Him allowing His Son, Jesus, to be sacrificed on a cross for our
sin. Jesus' blood became the ultimate covering for our
sin. Because of this, sin can no longer separate us from God.
Their music...
Their music, as their message, is clear and relevant. It
reflects real-life, everyday experiences and communicates a sincere
desire for others to know the need for God's grace.
Their format includes original and familiar contemporary
Christian, acoustic, and inspirational/praise music specifically
geared to all audiences. The use of tracks, acoustic guitar, and
"tight" harmony vocals provide the concert setting. Brett has
taught guitar and bass for many years. Darlene and Kevin are
accomplished vocalists who have traveled extensively singing in
various capacities. They are known for their acapella renditions,
as well as the incorporation of worship and Word into their
concerts. They are equally comfortable in a contemporary or
traditional worship setting.
Their travels...
They have ministered extensively and have shared the stage
with several national artists. From churches, to colleges,
to high schools, to concert halls and prisons, etc., they have
presented their music in almost every venue imaginable. No concert is
too large or too small.
Their projects...
Heirborn Promise completed work on their fourth project, Grace Lives
Here, with Grammy Award
nominated musical producer and arranger Sal Oliveri. Sal is known for
adding his "touches" to the music and projects of such artists as 4HIM, Carman, Point of Grace,
Mylon LeFevre, and Wayne Watson, as well as musical credits with Integrity Music,
TBN, and Moody Broadcasting. Sal had this to say about Heirborn
Promise. "It was a pleasure working alongside Heirborn
Promise on the new projects ... I know you will be blessed by their
music and ministry as much as I have been."
Their third project, Seasons Of The
Heart, was well accepted and received extended airplay on several
stations, including "most
requested" slots for the single Angels. Another single also
appeared on the internationally distributed Sounds Of Praise CD.
